More of this, please.

Jesus Christ, they somehow managed to make illustrations even worse than ZUN's. Besides that, even if the Touhou games are themselves proprietary, the assets are basically public domain, thus why it has such a large fandom, doesn't it? Even if not explicitly a free license, it kind of is, in an honorary way.

Already know of that one.

at first I thought you were joking, but then I opened it and was horrified. This has to be ironically bad.
At least the sprites are nice.

The illustrations are not code, thus nobody cares if they are "open" or not.

implying there is any between code and data.

also, these hentai pics could serve as a code forcing you to click links and masturbate. Think about it, dolt. You're no smarter than my CPU.

Who are you quoting?

Name: Anonymous 2017-12-26 2:06

Might as well just release the assets under Cc0.

Code is data, dolt.

Okay, sure, but who are you quoting?

the implications

That is a complete non-sequitur.

Data is not code, dolt.

But code is data.

And?

Code is data but data isn't code.

Data can be contained within code.

Name: Anonymous 2017-12-26 17:12

Terrible!

They should have made that game with a CURRENT YEAR programming language like python or javascript + electron. That way they could have used the time saved by not dealing with low level C nonsense learning how to make good art instead.

I can't tell whether or not this post is sarcastic.

Using a horrible language like C is like summoning Satan. All of these C programmers are literally minions of Satan.

it's open sores. it's not about making something nice. there's no profit motive. it's all about ego and stroking themselves about how they can do pointer indirection like it's 1969.

Name: Anonymous 2017-12-27 6:11

Or he could have paid someone to make them for cheap.
I mean the character sprites look normal, but I doubt it would have been expensive to order a few charater art.

It seems like a lot of programmers literally just don't have the capacity to distinguish good art from the bad--not in the sense that one is more evocative than the other, but even the neurotypical layman can tell when a practitioner represents our natural world well through depictions of anatomy, plants, etc., although they aren't so perceptive to the shameless shortcuts many intermediate DA artists abuse. I was wondering about maybe offering him my own illustrations to him (not to say they're good, but they're better then his, and I figured a small project like this would be a cool stepping stone for my portfolio), but then I began to wonder if he actually likes it that way and would be insulted by my solicitations. It's not the first time that's happened to me. And I'd like to think I'm reasonably good at telegraphing humility and graciousness and general dick-suckery in my contacting prospective ``employers''.

The art is awful. However, the game runs very well and seems good.

Name: Anonymous 2017-12-27 14:23

It's open source, so fix the art yourself ;)))

You're basically namefagging at this point. I'd tell you to stop trying to force your stupid imagereddit memes, except no one's doing it other than you, and no one even cares enough to call you out anymore.

Are you implying that there's more than one? Because you're just lying to yourself. It's so blatantly obvious from the newline you always make after the quotelink. You might as well be one person; to imply anything else would also be suggesting a hivemind capable of such mediocrity.

As far as I know, all of Nikita's confirmed posts look like that.
