Question about The End Of Evangelion.

When Shinji is alone in the emergency room with Asuka after he’s done calling for help from her, there is a moment were the screen pans all around the room and you hear Shinji’s breath become quite rough but still low, then it shows his hand with some sort of fluid on it, personally I think that he was masturbating while Asuka was passed out, and some of the dialouge in the movie would only add substance to prove my point, but some my friends think that the stuff in Shinji’s hands was either tears or sweat.

Well guys, I wanna hear you opinions, cause really why the fuck not? Always good to get others opinions.
