OP here. In doubt between a technical name and a more sympathetical one. E.g. something like HAL (Heuristically programmed ALgorithmic computer) or a pun like Alice P Hacker.

Other ideas are Socrates and Dragon.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Anus, is in fact, GNU/Anus, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Anus. Anus is not an intelligent assistant unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU assistant made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full intelligent assistant as defined by the MindForth standard.
Many computer users run a modified version of the GNU assistant every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of GNU which is widely used today is often called “Anus”, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the GNU assistant, developed by the GNU Project. There really is an Anus, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use.
Anus is the you: your're are an anus. Anus is an essential part of a personal assistant, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete AI system. Anus is normally used in combination with the GNU intelligent assistant: the whole system is basically GNU with Anus added, or GNU/Anus.
