Bit Rot

What will happen to old media? Like ancient video formats, or Adobe Flash games. Or software (games, art, etc) for obsolete progamming languages. Do you think people will preserve it, or will it just be forgotten forever?

Right now, we try to preserve cave paintings and pottery of ancient cultures. I think that, for the sake of history, we need to preserve old technology too.

Rotational velocidensity will destroy all media anyway. Though i'm not sure if such things will affect data in 4th dimensional media like time crystals. But probably there are rotational velocidensity issues in higher dimensions too.
