Yahoo Stores is like the most successful example of functional programming, and look at how awful that was. I don’t think it’s even a thing anymore.
Haskell and Lisp are garbage. Imagine going to MIT and being less hireable than someone who went some no-name school because MIT taught you Lisp instead of something useful like C++ or Java. It’s cool to hate these languages, but that’s the shit that will get you hired. OOP is the really money maker. The functional paradigm is just ivory tower academic garbage.
Besides, multi-paradigm languages take the good parts of functional programming and ignore all the bad shut. But purely functional languages are entirely useless. But the best multi-paradigm languages are OOP first and functional second. Classes and return statements and lambdas. No currying or whatever.
