like, it wasn't some sort of exception, it was some random fucking numbers and letters in a strangely formatted way that mentioned something about nodes

this reminds me of when, before entering college, I would just google "how to do ____ in ____ programming language" and then make "programs" where I'd just copy and paste code

cargo cult programming, using languages I didn't fully understand because I didn't have a formal education in them at the time
