I broke my kindle paperwhite

I have repaired it somehow but also looked to replace it. They're now even more expansive than 2 years ago and I heard they're planning to make a new kindle in 2018.
But when?

I only read math books, and that shit isn’t light reading, its active reading. I need to think hard and have a paper and pencil on a desk, not casually reading some gay prose while lounging.

I don't know, I've always been that guy with an impressive culture, the dominant one in any social environment. People don't bring up literature or philosophy twice with me. I've read thousands of books.
And I'm a STEM graduate.

same here. well, not always because I occasionally hang out with people with degrees in literature or philosophy. programmers and other stem people are often laser-focused on 'I don't need this for my job lole', but job isn't the only thing that matters. sometimes just knowing things is its own reward which is why I considered going into academia, but I probably won't because it's even more focused on 'networking', ass-kissing and circlejerks than the more practical side of CS and IT
