Lisp is useless

Why do you /prog/ and /g/ faggots always recommend this? ``Read SICP'' is a just a bad meme, not a good choice for beginners. Even MIT dropped Lisp for its CS courses. Good luck finding a job with unhirable shit like Lisp, Haskell, or just straight up C. No one cares about that boomer shit.

Learn Django or Node. Embrace Java, despite what you might think of it, simply because it's hirable. Learn Python. Learn JavaScript and a couple frameworks.

Lisp is the neckbeard language for people who don't actually do anything with programming other than shitposting on programming boards.

I am a bit confused by your post. What is your issue exactly? SICP? Lisp? Functional programming? Languages that are not so popular in indian coding jobs? What?

First of all, SICP is an incredibly amazing book: it contains a lot of information that helps you open up your mind to the world of magic while at the same time being extremely easy that even a brainlet like >>1-san could understand. Secondly SICP introduces you to multiple concepts and paradigms other than FP that are independent of the language that you use.

So please, do explain your issue a bit more.
