Wine Registration Questions

Name: Anonymous 2019-02-10 17:51

So I got problems running Spell of Mastery in Wine, while it runs fine in proper emulator, and tried to ask at their forums what I'm doing wrong:
https://forum.winehq.org/ucp.php?mode=register

To register they ask some crazy Linux related quiz:
What is the first name of the current staging branch maintainer?
Which of these distros does not use .deb packages: Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Mageia, Elementary?
What is the directory containing Wine's fake C: drive and configuration files called?
What is the second Linux distro on this list: macOS, Mageia, Manjaro, openSUSE, Haiku, Ubuntu?

I tried a few guesses, but quickly got into "You have exceeded the maximum number of registration attempts for this session. Please try again later."

That is some superior trolling. Especially because the folder with "fake C: drive" is different on each OS.

Also, here is the error Wine crashed with when attempting to my Spell of Mastery attempts to init SDL2:

In case you wonder, they don't consider Mageia a Linux distro.

Why not?

So why Mageia is not a Linux? Is Android Linux distro or not?

>>5
dunno about Mageia, I'd say Android is not a Linux distro but a custom OS with a Linux backend.

if Mageia is a distro then Manjaro. if it isn't then SUSE. but as I said I have no idea what is Mageia

Ubuntu, Linux is basically Ubuntu and "the rest" most normie distro with best hardware/software compatibility. It just works(unless it doesn't then you'll be forced to use terminal).
Linux Mint,Ubuntu with "it just works" turned on to 11. More friendly to expirienced users.
Mageia, Remember Mandrake linux?
Elementary,MacOSX wannabe distro, also Ubuntu based.
Only one here, mageia isn't based on Ubuntu, so logically in winehq they decided its not linux enough.

Mageia is a Linux distro:
Red Hat linux -> Mandrake Linux -> Mandriva Linux ->Mageia (non-commercial fork of Mandriva)
