The entire point of the GPL is to say 'if you want to take you also have to give back', whereas the permissive licenses say 'take all of my hard work and run with it.' GPL guarantees that no company will ever use your code and hire you. That simply doesn't pass with their lawyers. GPL wankers have chosen political militantism instead of hard work and family values. You can feel it in the quality of their code, they just don't give a shit.
