On June 11, 2020, the present designs of the flag and coat of arms were officially established. Black stands for the fertile soil driving the agricultural output, as well as the people of color who live here. Red stands for the blood shed for independence, as well as the indigenous peoples who were displaced from this land. White stands for the continuous strive for peace, and the equanimity C.H.A.Z. represents. Although the colors have been changed several times on June 10, 2020, these colors are now recognized as the colors of C.H.A.Z.
In the coat of arms, the national colors are repeated as a ribbon holding a wreath of wheat - a reminder of the agricultural basis of the zone. At the top is a cogwheel (for industrialization) and a star symbolic of luck, victory, and Communism. The liberation of people and the dawn of a new day are suggested by the rising sun, while the open book at the bottom is that of the Weather Underground's "Prairie Fire," containing the ideological framework in building C.H.A.Z. The center of the coat of arms has a stylized rendition of the Space Needle located in Seattle, Washington, symbolizing both geographic location and the mission to reach the utopian vision.
