OAuth Client IDs, The Next Level of Discrimination

Everyone already knows how sites discriminate on user-agent strings - especially those run by or in bed with Big Tech.

Then the OAuth faggots decided to add this concept to their protocol too, and somehow try to convince you that every client needs to have its own unique ID registered and approved, beyond just user accounts which were already a thing.

How did we get from standardised openness to standardised authoritarianism?
