So the value of these religions is only in the way they reduce conflict and unpredictability in day to day life through everybody following a set of behavioral guidelines. Only the crazy see anything more in it, everybody else just follows along to fit in and have a smooth ride to the grave (what's beyond the grave doesn't matter).
The average Christian or Muslim would think you were a retard if you tried to discuss holy war, or heaven, or miracles. That stuff doesn't matter, people only care about the behavioral guidelines. The Islamic State terrorism is nothing to do with Islam, it is simply a political tool, and Islam (the metaphysical belief system) has nothing to do with Islam (the set of rules governing a community).
