TEXTBOARDS ARE DYING HOW TO SAVE TEXTBOARDS

Name: Anonymous 2016-04-27 9:54

Friends, as you know it has been a hard year for textboards. There's shrinking populations across all sites, where every day it seems another textboard closes its doors citing zero activity. RedCream's passing made me realize just how fragile our population is. Simply put, we are in imminent danger of total population collapse and we must increase our numbers immediately or perish forever.

But how? Everybody is on Reddit and Facebook, nobody bothers with textboards these days. Let's face it, we can't compete with the giant sites that currently attract the largest general audiences. Our only hope is to go niche. I'm talking about becoming the number one Jihad site on the web. /lounge/ would effectively become /jihad/ and we would make it known that discussion of Islam and terrorism isn't just accepted, it is condoned on all textboards.

Think about it, there are currently over one billion muslim terroists with internet connections, yet they are banned and chased out on almost all other discussion boards. This is a massive untapped audience that we can reach Right Now. We really have no choice, it's either reach out to online Jihadist and learn to coexist with them or watch textboards die out which nobody wants.

RedCream's passing
I've been away from textboards for a little while. What did I miss? I run an imageboard but I've always been interested in communities of textboards. I've always wanted to run one.

I was just looking around for them, and it's so sad. I went down the list on https://wakaba.c3.cx/soc/kareha.pl/1297245013/ and the ONLY boards what were even remotely active were this one and sageru.org.
The rest were either spam, dead, 404 pages, or parked domains.
I'd always expect that there would be some sort of community that would still want to use this kind of board, but it seems like there are only like 10 people across the entire internet that are actually care about it.
I can't believe tablecat died too. That's just one more step closer to the internet as it was dying out.
