Hes a 60-something year old man acting like a petulant child throughout this whole thing. You left the band dude. They all collectively did not want you back when you changed your mind. There's clearly a reason for that and it's time to let it go

I’m on KK’s side but he should let it go at this point. That is a sinking ship. Should have started and put more effort into his band sooner if he needed to play.

How can he expect to be back in the band after saying bad things about the members now?
Logic doesn't fit his argument.
KK needs to chill and mellow out.
He has his own band now... it's actually a disrespect not only to guys he has played with and toured with for decades... BUT his words have to be disrespecting to his current band mates in a way.
So he's dissing his old band... and his current band at the same time.

There is one very good reason why he shouldn't be back, the only one necessary - the other members doesn't want him back. If your colleagues doesn't want to work with you.... Then you are out. Regardless of your feelings.

I saw Judas Priest around 2005-2006. KK definitely seemed a step behind back then. They had to slightly slow down the songs for him, or at least it seemed that way. He was a good guitarist, but he seemed like he should have retired about 15 years ago

47w

Panayiotis Tsitsis
Chris Florian how could you tell that they slowed down the songs because of him? That doesn't sound legit at all, it was a live show and guess who is the guy that kept as a secret his illness for many years until deterioration. Yes, Tipton. KK was never the problem, Tipton was a raging alcoholic and had early symptoms of Parkinson years before his designation.

Panayiotis Tsitsis the first song they came out it seemed like they were trying to play at regular speed and KK seemed like he wasn’t able to keep up. The next few songs seemed a little slower. Tipton was great, but KK seemed slow. Maybe he was sick or something, but everyone else seemed fine. Kk seemed off

Panayiotis Tsitsis
Chris Florian I don't have any reason to not believe you but I find it quite suspicious because literally the whole band tried to cover Tipton in the later years by playing the songs slower. I saw Judas Priest twice in 2011 and in 2015 when I played in a festival in Athens, Greece, they were headliners for the day, Tipton backstage was soaked in alcohol, he couldn't even speak, he looked drunk and high, I bet he didn't even know in which country or city he is. I couldn't belive that he played the show that night and to be honest I think that most of the time his guitar was lower than the other guy. So, you might say the truth but Tipton seems like the real reason they were slow back then.

Andrew Guthrie the only toxicity is between him and GT and the manager. Glenn controls the band 100% and made it known the others are not allowed to even communicate with KK. They did it to Rob when he was out until they needed to have him back in order to be financially successful again.

KK would have an entirely different opinion if he didn't sell his rights to his own music in order to dump it all into a failed golf course. He was so confident that he literally flipped the bird to the band on his way out the door. Now he blames everyone else but himself. This is something major that he blatantly ignores and disregards. For 2 solo albums that he claims he's very proud of, instead of marketing them he chooses to focus all his energy on bashing Priest. He keeps saying how awesome Ripper is yet would obviously rather have Rob at the helm. He sounds like a chick that was kicked to the curb yet can't stop talking about her ex.

With all due respect, I'm completely sick of KK's commentary on this situation. He made a choice, he's living with the consequences of his actions, now stfu.
I love KK's contribution to metal, but I think he's a massive baby about the situation. And his fake Priest band has some decent riffs that people clearly enjoy so just focus on that, man! Every time he says something, it turns me off on whatever he's currently working on.

Emery Fry yeah it kinda annoys me when people don't give Tipton more respect in these threads. He's just as much of a legend and, imo, more important to the priest sound. It breaks my heart he can't play live, but as long as he's a part of Priest and writing (which he is still), that's where my interest lies.

Nothing like the music business to tear friends and bands apart. I love Priest and have nothing bad to say about any past of present member of the band. I don't know who is to blame here. But I saw how Ripper Owens got fucked over and erased from the band's history. I've seen the albums Ripper sang on go out of print. So it's easy to see how K.K. is getting fucked too. I'd love to see them all reconcile, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. But the fans win because we get two Priest bands at the same time.

They're all in their seventies. They should be onstage because they want to, and with the ones they want to be on stage with. Why would they want this negativity back in the band? It should all be for fun. It's not about who desereves what... 20 years ago I might have agreed with him.
