Why is Shad of Shadiversity a racist? I notice all the gays and women and Filipinos with painted nails even tho they are men hate him. The Filipino brags about another right wing YouTuber he complained aboutt being sent to prison and tacitly wishes Shad to be kidnapped by the police of Australia and locked in hell.
In America you don’t own anything (ownership is dominion and control) because of property taxes and eminent domain. There is no “democracy” either: if there were then there would be no property taxes as it is a thing everyone hates. A simple proof that this “democracy “ does not exist and never has. The only recourse for said supposed property owners is to use the same type of force that the state uses to evict property owners with. The state will hide its casualties: they can lose 1000 and claim only one was injured while crowing that they ended you: however at least it will cost those who choose to physically remove you. The same happened to the Irish with the English and this universal situation in America has the same solution.
Atleast they're turkish muslims that look very balkans-YT: Süleyman Hilmi Tunahan. Thats all I can say. Maybe out of all the muslims to choose from (not that us "residents" have a choice) they'll fit in most with the town. Looking at the founder: he looks like he mostly has balkan roots likely from all the girls the turks took from Russia/Ukraine/Yugoslavia etc: eventually you become what you consume. So there's that. And no I don't care if the American Constitution or Americanism bans caring about if the people coming to your town are atleast from somewhere near europe: I was just born here (Irish/Swiss-German/Polish mutt): I didn't choose to come here and I never thus agreed to your beliefs or laws. I'm like a deer: just born here. I'm sad to lose our midnight mass place though. It is heartbreaking to see the video of the sign going down. But people who follow God's command to be fruitful and multiply survive. Peoples that reject his old laws do not.
I was there for an Advent Mass just a few months ago. We went to Midnight Mass for Christmas there every year. If it was disused how was I attending the special Hibernian Singers Christmas Mass every year for over a decade? Am I InSaNe and deluded and seeing things for 10 years? Did I hallucinate it all AdamG? If it were a secular-use building how is it that it had a concecrated church in it, as it's largest part? You will not answer this: Adam: If you want to confront: time and place.
So does the original non-english, Greek, Hebrew, Old Testament. (also the Latin translation); the first 5 books which are the actual word of YHWH before changes were made via newer books. USA just doesn't actually allow freedom of religion: only freedom of religious assembly. Just as it doesn't allow you to have whatever weapon you want. It doesnt and never has followed it's so called constitution. That was just a hook to get the pesants to accept the newer Federal Constitution. Your ancestors married girls too. We weren't always under New-Testament-Only Better a Millstone, etc etc as we are now. USA allows only one religion: equally applicable state laws.
Money was originally invented in Sumer for the 1) Approportion of grain to the army and 2) to purchase young virgin girls for marraige. That is it's First Purpose. (you can read the cuniform tablets if you doubt this). Just as the First Purpose of a wheel is to roll. If a thing cannot accomplish it's First Purpose it is not that Thing. You are not paid money. Ownership is Dominion and Control. The towns in LI kick you out using deadly force if you do not pay their property taxes. You do NOT own Property in the USA. Neither are you afforded Life: the european cultures that used to marry young girls (and yes they did, history has recently been rewritten) generated much Life. Your culture which banned marrying young virgin girls generates no life. And as for Liberty: you ban men (sorry MMAALLLESS) from everything naturally good in life. So no: You do not have Life , Liberty, Nor property. You are a totalitarian society like any other with your own enforced system: which is your religion in reality.

@grokitall 2 days ago I can remember back when windows xp came out seeing support for isa cards being removed due to nobody having any hardware to test code on. I also remember drivers being deprecated pending removal due to not having anyone care enough to step up and maintain it.
the main difference back then was that the bugs being reported were from real people finding real bugs on real hardware they were daily driving. this meant that you could enter a dialogue with them, and get them to test patches to fix the bug.
the issue you are highlighting is that because modern tools are being used against the entire code base, it is flagging up cases where it did not used to matter that a driver was unloved. once visible, they then enter the same unmaintained - deprecated - remove cycle that the kernel has always had. this was usually a many version pathways which i have seen in some cases take a couple of years to complete, and at any time someone can come along and say "i'm using that and will be the maintainer and tester" and the removal process stops.
supporting legacy hardware for backward compatability is not free, and one of the costs is the new capabilities you cannot add because the old code needs massive workarounds due to missing hardware features in older hardware. this is most easily seen with processors, where the old ones don't have some of the newer extensions, but you also see it with sound cards where they don't have pulse audio drivers, and are still running on alsa.
basically at some point you have to ask the question how much is it costing us to keep this unmaintained, untestable hardware without some modern features, and if the cost is too high, you have to move it onto the removal path.

Blaming AI is childish. AI has no agency or it would be AGI. It simply does what you command it, just like a non-AI program. Blame these kernel devs. They've all become corporate employees over the past two decades. With the amount of money the Linux foundation is getting (as you yourself covered), no wonder Linus, Greg etc have been co-opted. Do they have a choice any more? There was a time in the past when Torvalds boldly gave the middle finger to a tech giant. Can he do that today? Will he dare? Every time he writes something these days, he just sounds to me like a tired, exhausted to the bones, corporate middle manager, incensed with his employees... The spirit that made Linux Linux is thoroughly gone. And it probably ain't coming back.

@RenoSCM 2 days ago the problem is - younger devs want to 'fix' everything to current tech - i.e. recompile to Rust, drop apis for systems that are older than they are, etc. i get it that legacy systems can add baggage to old code bases, but they need to be careful about corporations that have older stuff, that they are not aware of and spend $$$ for support on them. it's basically what Microsoft has to deal with every day.
@khelben1979 1 day ago Hmm... I have a question for you. Since this is directly related to new versions of the Linux kernel, why not use a older Linux kernel on older hardware? In my opinion, you often don't want to run the latest Linux distributions on old PC:s and therefor what they're doing here doesn't really matter unless they go back to older Linux kernels and starts to purge hardware support from them as well, which I doubt they would do. Would they? So what you're saying in this video is valid concerns and I can understand your frustrations, but there's a workaround especially for people who are able to still compile your own version of the kernel as well, although you would be forced to use a older one before these changes takes effect (to my understanding). Thank you!

@kamikarmy 22 hours ago I'm not familiar with this community but some folks need to touch grass. Saying a fork of Linux kernel is necessary because you don't like what's happening is... of little wisdom. Instead, become the maintainer of such drivers. Forking a kernel will be a lot more effort and you'll still need the maintainers for these drivers. I get people are venting, but step forward and put your money where your mouth is.
Otherwise, wishing for the kernel and drivers contributors to be fired is just counterproductive. The content creator isn't making any sense. Again, if you do have a driver with dropped support, send an email and volunteer. That won't make you money though with rage bait content.

@user-mt4zr5kp7h 13 hours ago I see no problem with removing stuff this old. They're not removing it from existing kernels. Why does 20 year old hardware need a 2026 kernel update? That's just silly. All the guy's saying is, we need to find someone dedicated to maintain this, otherwise it's gotta come out. And he's right. You can't support the same hardware forever. You just can't. The kernel would be massive. Some things have to go to make room for newer stuff. If your computer's newer than 15 years old, you're never gonna have a problem. And you made the point yourself. They haven't needed to be updated for years and years and years. Yet you want the latest kernel to still support that old hardware? That doesn't make sense. You're wrong, bro. They're not going into legacy kurdles and removing it out of them. What they're doing is perfectly fine.😊

@saksaelectronicsconsulting2023 16 hours ago (edited) Conspiracy theory hat on. Old Linux computers supported hardware that enabled plenty of electrical interfaces to the outside world locally and without going through internet or intranet. That ability enables internet-independent means of communication, amateur radio being one example, analog baseband modem, parallel and serial ports (direct, no USB).
Enter AI that messes with the drivers by finding "bugs". The kernel project then removes the drivers as a remedy. Hence no interfacing to outside world from old hardware. Force everybody under the inspective lens of Internet (capital I), AI, and you don't own your hardware -consumerism. Hats off.

@ivanpaulostome2895 1 day ago (edited) Governments worldwide start to "dominate" (or exterminate) free coders, bargaining with them to develop leftist closed source blobs toward population (Public Software) inside free software. The proof is that: the majority of "public" developments are made in "public" universities. Hardware pays a lot of taxes, so they start to develop codes with some specific "needs", and governments start asking Linux users to comply with "peeping tom" free offerings. At the other side, what is maintaining retro communities, are easy to find drivers for old disconnected Windows. Older tools such as Borland are becoming more and more popular nowadays. AI is trying to find hardware flaws that are deemed as "unfixable" to converge government oligarchs and hardware makers interests into a proprietary Linux called "Public Software". Neo rich "Free Software Shiites" (with government ties) against "underpowered pragmatics": Less repos, and less free software culture (less discussions).

@someusername1 10 hours ago I think this is an inevitable corollary of the combination of technological progress, the weight of historical development, and (ironically) the success of Linux (especially commercial success).
(As well as to some extent the essentially kernel-bound nature of Linux drivers. I.e. It is in part a technological structure issue).
There was always going to come a time when there was just too much to maintain, when it became too top-heavy, and this would be true no matter how Linux was funded and no matter that LLMs are here now.
But this is also a sign of who is paying the bills. Linux has long since ceased to be a hobby; it's now big business. It's mainly hobbyists who want the old drivers in there but the hobbyists can't afford to pay the bills and mostly can't maintain the code themselves. Again, the broad success of Linux means that hobbyist users are not necessarily hobbyist kernel coders who can maintain code.
Let's just face it: Modern, up to date Linux is lost to hobbyists running old kit. That's gone. That ship has sailed already. LLM AIs are forcing the issue, but it was happening anyway. It was always inevitable once Linux hit commercial success.
But it's not all doom and gloom: Hobbyist use of Linux is not dead. For the use case of most hobby projects there is no harm whatsoever in running old kernels. So what if it's not new and shiny? It's old kit anyway.
Also, the fork word applies here. I can see a time where Linux as we currently know it splinters, where we can no longer think of a singular mainline Linux kernel.
It is entirely possible that we might end up with (1) a commercial, bang up to date kernel (i.e. what is currently the mainline kernel), and (2) one or more 'traditional' kernels that do keep old drivers and have a different, non-commercial ethos, that do support old hardware, and which could in time possibly significantly diverge from mainline commercial Linux. They could be called some else entirely.
Linux (the mainline commercial 'core') would by that time have become near-proprietary, despite presumably still being GPL. Interesting future, isn't it.
Linux as we know it is dead. Long live Linux. (And the BSDs, and even illumos, and the Linuxes of tomorrow that are developing gradually and more quietly).

@Dinscurge 4 hours ago not really directly related, but hopefully im wrong and ai isnt an ongoing disaster in general for the human race, but atleast in my not that boomer of a lifetime i have seen even fully developed(more or less) adult people fall into simple traps of using some new tool as a crutch and they become significantly less ingenious, like get into 3d printing or cnc and then that proverb if you're a hammer every problem looks like a nail hits, and they forget you can do other types of fabrication like welding bending forming. i mean schooling in general seems to be becoming a disaster if you were to say theres no geopolitical/socio-economic happenings and everything else was the same, how could kids possibly have degrading literacy or basic arithmetic when they have increased access to research materials/help different techniques, easier access to figure out things like if they were dyslexic or if they are nearsighted and the teacher has them sitting too far back and they cant see good to read. that maybe there was something to that you might not always have a calculator thing, where people just google the problem they are having and its got that purple ive clicked the link before highlight because their memory recall is such a state they just look up the thing they need when they need it and theres no point to remember it at all. least i recall there was countries going towards banning tablets and stuff in gradeschools going back to pencil and paper. or for more goal or results based learners, like say for me i didnt start to practice programming for the sake of doing it, i had things i wanted to do in a way that other people werent doing, if you have to learn a skill to finish a project, that project could get you to learn something you otherwise wouldnt have, if you have a tool that can just do it well enough for you, why learn that skill? how many people started doing things because they had to not for the sake of doing it? i mean how does one know they want to do something for the sake of doing it if they have never done it in the first place? that i think alot of people are gonna get just rekt by being able to hit the gimmie the thing i wanted instantly button, instead of having to deal with the more harsh reality of having to suck at something and do it with great repetition until they get proficient enough to do the things they want to do, not just that one skill, but the maturity the learning experience in general about yourself and the world, how dedication perseverance work, what people mean when they say someone is a hard worker or has good work ethic, time/project management, how things work, how long it takes to do things, how long it takes to learn things, you can start to get ideas about things and yourself
@stony4321 9 hours ago To bad that was nice to keep a old machine running it instead of throwing it away. I guss I'll have to use net bsd for that.
@billchatfield3064 5 hours ago These changes are because young people who don't understand why we are where we are, are making bad decisions. They're determined to repeat the mistakes of the past, just like antivaxxers.
@N.A._McBee 16 hours ago (edited) Linux is about to die. All things in life come in phases, and Linux is phasing out. Let's concentrate on the other options like BSD variants and similar-minded projects. Linus and Greg do not understand yet, that they are going to destroy the groundwork of Linux. The Times They Are a-Changin :) 24 6

@boyscout399 15 hours ago I think you overestimate the desire to keep 20+ year old hardware running. If including that device driver opens a security hole in the operating system that no one cares to fix, i'd rather have everyone be secure than support a certain 30 year old mouse. 2 3

@silentJET85 15 hours ago @boyscout399 Including such a driver wouldn't affect anyone who isn't using that hardware. 1 2
@boyscout399 15 hours ago @silentJET85 you say that very confidently. that's probably the case in the majority of the bugs, but some of them might open holes even if not actively being used. 1 1
@chrilinledi6943 15 hours ago not using computer will make it super secure. why don't everyone do it however? 3

@jakobw135 11 hours ago Didn’t Linus Torvalds embrace AI? So what does he say now based on what you just revealed? Isn’t the point of Linux to run on almost ALL hardware out there? So WHY are normal people allowing this to happen?
@ruthlessadmin 15 hours ago Can't the old drivers be made available separately and still be compiled in optionally, or as modules? I can understand cleaning up the main code base, but completely removing old, stable hardware support seems asinine. In any case, how does stable code that doesn't need to be touched, affect a developer's productivity, with or without AI? 1
@barbodrz8645 13 hours ago All of the drivers ware part of the monolithic kernel in Linux but since it's not a micro kernel it won't be separate at. Examples for monolithic kernels Linux and Darwin for macos I think and I think nt for windows and micro kernels are hurd kernel from gnu and minix I think which you gotta fact check some of these but many kernels in use are monolithic ones right and are being updated more often
@User-sj1pl 12 hours ago Use another distro then? This is how open source software works.
@Vita-Linux 8 hours ago Just go to BSD, that's what i will have to do at the end, when Arch completely screw things up, after that Void which is already woke, could get worse than what it is, and if Void is not even an option, damn.. i guess go back to Windows and dualbooting with BSD, linux was great, i discovered it for the first time in late 2021, but after just a few years it completely went off the rails
@SarcasticTofu 6 hours ago It's high time to make a hard fork Linux using the very last Rust free AI free version of Linux Kernel 6.0.19.. Linux seems to be a dead system.. lets fork it and call it something like AliveSys or UAlive (Unix Alive).. just like XLibre has been forked and SonicDE has just born.. then we can add newer hardware support slowly.. The AliveSys should exclusively RUST and WOKE free
