The ``Fuck Beta'' Thing

tl;dr version: Dice, the latest company to buy Slashdot and try to milk it to death, unveiled ``Slashdot Beta'', a hideous flat, web 2.0-ish, metro-y design for the site, and redirected 25% of traffic to it.

Slashdot, pretty unanimously, said ``Fuck Beta'' and started talking crazy talk, like forming a splinter site (yeah, like that would ever work!). It's given me a bit of hope for the future to see /., which I had thought of as gutted corpse crawling with the unsavory of our profession/hobby, to still be able to recognize shit when they see it.

I'd usually get upvoted immediately because what I had to say was truthful and was already on the tip of everyone's minds.

But then the Jewish censors at Dice would notice, and they'd downvote me. Sometimes, they'd even delete my comments outright.

Then they gave me negative karma and I can't even post from my account or from my static IP.
