I didn't actually know what clause meant until about halfway into this thread/argument when I was searching for a word to encompass what I've been talking about (two-word pairing that means something specific). I couldn't find any word that fitted so I just used "clause" because it is literally impossible to understand wtf the definition of that word is getting at. All we can be sure of is it's something grammatical, so it fitted my needs fine.

Anyway, the word clause isn't important if it turns out to mean something other than what it was being used for. But any intelligent person can infer what MY definition of clause has been in this discussion. So, I'm wondering why you've latched on to the one misused word instead of attempted to address the points I raised....?

Because I've already addressed several of your points. You used "clause" heavily as your main argument, and you got several others to use the word unknowingly as well. I'm merely addressing it before you continue to spew it.

And again, this is not a matter of semantics or pragmatics. It doesn't matter what you can infer from the context of the usage. This is pure grammar: you used a plural subject (phenomena) and therefore should have used a plural pronoun and verb. "Cultural" is an adjective. Cultural cannot be anything else, it can only be an adjective, and in this case, it merely modifies the subject.
