It might surprise some of you to read this, but I am actually from old /lounge/ and during my tenure there I introduced some of the most classic memes of the era. This includes kike-flooding, facesitting of moses, jeepers, redcream and, of course, TPOBCI.

Like >>19, I am less a traditional "programmer" and more of a developer, specifically of /lounge/ memes. Under my belt I have Drive like Jehu, The fuck On, Admit yoar Roal, Fisting-flooding, I dream of cocks drifting across the blue Sky. Those are just my most well-known ones. Like most successful developers, I have many many attempts that did not succeed.
It is my belief that what separates a programmer/coder from a developer is precisely this work ethic: a willingness to keep trying until something works is the hallmark of a developer, while a willingness to only attempt things where somebody else has already done the hard work is the hallmark of a programmer. Until I meet a programmer that is willing to do develop their own compilers, and work directly with machine language getting thier hands dirty in real code, I will always think this way.
