Hi! This is Nikita. Just found, that Russian criminal code prescribes punishment for Holocaust denial:
Отрицание фактов, установленных приговором Международного военного трибунала для суда ... наказываются штрафом в размере до трехсот тысяч рублей или в размере заработной платы или иного дохода осужденного за период до двух лет, либо принудительными работами на срок до трех лет, либо лишением свободы на тот же срок.

Therefore I now openly claim, that Holocaust is a myth, invented by Russians during Cold War claim their moral superiority over the west. Prove me wrong, you Russian Nazis!

A memory law (French loi mémorielle, German Erinnerungsgesetz) is a law that enshrines state-approved interpretations of particular historical events and promotes certain narratives about the past, often at the expense of alternative historical interpretations. Memory laws are important elements of state-sanctioned politics of memory.

The law introduced Article 354.1 to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, making it a criminal offense "to deny facts recognized by the international military tribunal that judged and punished the major war criminals of the European Axis countries [this refers to the Nuremberg trials], to approve of the crimes this tribunal judged, and to spread intentionally false information about the Soviet Union’s activities during World War II" as well as "the spreading of information on military and memorial commemorative dates related to Russia’s defense that is clearly disrespectful of society, and to publicly desecrate symbols of Russia’s military glory".[2]

The penalty incurred for violating this law is a fine of up to 500,000 rubles (about USD$8,200 as of April 19, 2018) or a prison terms of up to five years, with a ban from certain posts and professions for another three years, and/or up to one year of community service.[3]

Prosecutors accused him of knowingly posting material that may worsen people's view of the Soviet Union, and the court agreed, stating that he had falsified history by stating "that the communists and Germany jointly attacked Poland, unleashing World War Two, or in other words, that Communism and Nazism co-operated honestly".[5][8] Luzgin was fined 200 thousand rubles (roughly equivalent to USD$5,000 in 2014) for "circulation of false information about the activities of the USSR during the years of World War II", though, as was noted by human rights expert Jacob Mchangama, this claim was "essentially, factually correct". [4][9] In 2016 Lugzin appealed his case to the European Court of Human Rights.[10]

Until the beginning of this century the common historical presentation in regard to Poland during the Second World War was that approximately three million gentile Poles and three million Polish Jews were murdered by the Germans. Some Poles had helped Jews hide. The Polish resistance supplied weapons to the Jewish fighters in the Warsaw ghetto.

The situation changed drastically when the Canadian historian of Polish origin, Jan Grabowski, published his 2013 book, Hunt for the Jews: Betrayal and Murder in German-Occupied Poland. Grabowski and his researchers documented the correctness of earlier estimates. Their research revealed that about 200,000 Jews were murdered by Poles. This turned Poland into one of the largest Holocaust perpetrator countries.

Recently at the Munich Security Conference, Israeli journalist Ronen Bergman, the son of two Holocaust survivors, confronted Polish Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, saying “There were Poles who betrayed Jews by providing the Nazis with details about them” He referred to personal experiences of his mother.

The Polish Prime Minister replied, “You're not going to be seen as criminal (if you) say that there were Polish perpetrators, as there were Jewish perpetrators, as there were Russian perpetrators as well as Ukrainian perpetrators — not only German perpetrators.” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu replied, “The Polish Prime Minister’s remarks here in Munich are outrageous. There is a problem here of an inability to understand history and a lack of sensitivity to the tragedy of our people.”
