Clinging to family and friends who are fundamentally defective in their world view is 1) pointless and will only drag you down, 2) representative of a individualist, consumer-orientated view of the world where you have to be "strategic" -- ie. the view that is ruining the planet. No, dump your family and fake friends. Take up arms with your allies. Wait.
