"We are planning an end-to-end replacement of Linux. We intend the new kernel to have no backporting of patches from other Linux distributions by default. Instead, it will be the responsibility of the creator of the Linux distribution to have all patches in the original distribution. All other patches will be refused and not accepted from any distributions. These patches will have to be submitted to the maintainer of the Linux distribution for approval. "
As you will see, Lennart Poettering does not like other distributions' patches.
