Is there anything /prog/ won't do for money?

I just turned down a "very nice" job offer from a FINANCIAL INSTITUTION, preferring instead to work far less hour for faaaar less pay in the field of THIRD WORLD DEVELOPMENT AID. Am I wrong?

I'm not sure licensing matter much to me. Realistically; it's going to be very hard to find a position at a company in which you can maintain open source software (unless you know things I don't).

I could tolerate using INFERIOR TECHNOLOGIES such as PHP (so outdated) or MySQL (lol) but the though of making JAVA and .NET software for some cocksucker city-boys to rake in more bonuses just drives me nuts. There's supposed to be good money in ICT training too (if you can get in).. which is where I'm looking to go next.
