Gender neutral pronouns

I hope you're using them in your documentation, or else you're sexist.

I'm a sexist, so I object against gender neutral pronouns on an ideological basis.

I don't document, everybody happy, except whoever has to audit my code and myself sometimes. At least I'm gender neutral.

There is absolutely no need to use personal pronouns in your documentation. ``The user'' is always enough.

I generally refer to them as ``the sample population'' or ``subjects''.

Just call them goyim
example: ``the/a goy should use the fart() subrutine to fart''

I use gender neutral pronouns exclusively because I hate gender. However, >>1 does bring up a good point: doing so might make it look as if I'm some faggot who's trying to avoid offending oversensitive cunts. I'm not sure how to avoid that.

I guess I could start licensing my work under a modified version of the Goatse Prostate License, adding some swastikas and a list of slurs.

I'm with >>4-san on this one. ``The user'' says exactly what is needed. If I'm writing something grand enough, I might even go with ``the operator''.

Then again, my documentation mostly consists of writing decent usage() methods, then copy-pasting variations of Unlimited Blade Works into license headers to make my comment coverage rates acceptable.

I'll just do whatever OpenBSD does

I only use male pronouns, subhumans be damned.

It's your fault if you take offense. If you can't handle mild words you might as well just kill yourself now.

Name: Anonymous 2014-04-23 4:00

I only use female pronouns, subhumans be damned.

This problem almost never comes up because most documentation doesn't need to address an unnamed third person. When it does, take special opportunity to point out that people who disparage the singular use of they are self righteous pedants who ignore centuries of English vernacular.

I despise people who demand a near-unity code:comments ratio. For internal code I assert that people who can't divine the meaning of a 3-5 line function with a descriptive name can't be trusted to read a 3-5 line comment, either.

In academic circles, it is considered polite to use the formal impersonal third person "the nigger kike" form instead of the informal, vulgar "you" form.

I only use alien pronouns, humans be damned.
