So Google doesn't see software as a sustainable business? Else why bother with diversification?

And why does Google refuse to pursue military contracts, where such toys can find the most use and save lot of lives?

Sure, militaries can save lives, but that is practically the opposite of the job description by definition..

For the most part, their saving the lives of the blokes next to them, who wouldn't be in danger if they weren't where they are...
