It's unusual that the only thing they supplied was the driver binary, so MS really needs to put out a generic class INF for CDC devices. (USB\Class_02&SubClass_02)

Exactly. I'd much rather use Microsoft's generic drivers than the twice aborted crap device integrators usually provide. Nobody should ever have to install a device specific driver for a function USB-IF already took the trouble to define; it defeats the whole purpose of the standards.
