>>8You don't know shit about the Chechen war. It was started by Yeltsin. He said in 1990 to all local leaders that they can grab as much independence as they can carry. Chechnya had oil so it wanted independence. Then instead of negotiations, Yeltsin just orders the troops in. It was all lies: they lied on TV that there is no war, while Russian soldiers were forcefully sent by FSB to Chechnya as "volunteers", they were forced to commit atrocities then sent to death. Soldiers were given straight orders like "move into Grozny" without any clarification, without written documents, without maps or plans. The command didn't even talk to Chechens, they were busy killing and torturing them. Yeltsin lied that Dudaev (the Chechen president) didn't want to contact him, but even journalists from a newspaper were able to call Dudaev and talk to him. Then whenever Russian soldiers survived, the Russian artillery bombed them so they wouldn't live to tell what was going on there. Chechnya had lots of Russians, too, and they lived peacefully. Chechen children knew Russian perfectly, they had excellent Russian teachers. After the war, there were no Russians in Chechnya - they were all killed or forced to flee. That war sowed seeds of great hate and vengeance and it was all started by the federal government.
