I like guitars on What Do You Want From Me even more, but those are like a sonic assault, vicious and powerful. Here, they went for outer space instead, the soft ambient stuff, and it's awesome in its own way.
This is Opeth at their best, or one of their best. This song is like a sprawling garden filled with poisonous lianas, really verdant and blooming but filled with diabolic things. I really like the play of growling vocals with that "poison vine" guitar, and the mourning, cold piece in the end is awesome, Opeth are really good at that. It's a very multi-faceted song but it's got that taste of evil breeding permeating it that sets it apart.
