BBS Rewritten

Name: Anonymous 2015-03-21 17:01

Please test out the shitty BBS rewrite here: http://beta.progrider.org/prog/

It uses sqlite and it makes shit easier for me to manage. For the most part the behavior should be the same. If you run across any errors, post them in this thread and I'll fix them.

Clicking on post numbers no longer quotes them.

Would be nice to see the source code :D or do you plan to keep it closed?

It's Perl, and I never write Perl so I don't care. I'll public domain the source and release it soon, I just want to make sure I didn't accidentally introduce an exploit. Give me a few days to fuzz the source and configs properly.

Poor Rika. All she wanted was to get nakkeed with anonymous!

I do still have the original, but it just needs a monospace font. The problem is that the BBCODE compiler doesn't handle [m] correctly. I was also able to reconstruct it from that post just be changing an HTML tag. What the fuck is the <samp> tag? Seems pretty useless for W3C to add. Anyway, if you replace it with <pre>, it is presented correctly, but it gets colored like [code] would. Alternatively, you could add samp{font-family:monospace;white-space: pre;} to the CSS.

But here it is if you want it anyway, http://pastebin.com/fqLQTE73

I don't like how 'Anonymous' is pre-filled in the name field.

I don't think putting ``Anonymous'' in the name field is a bad idea.
Whenever I've spoken about a chan type website with anybody who's unfamiliar I'm always terrified they'll go there, actually type their name in, and post with that instead of posting anonymously.

Do they also put their email on?

They then ask me so I tell them
