No. Macs were always at least interesting. In the 90s some of the most interesting stuff ran only on Macs: HyperCard, Sk8, Dylan. Today Macs have the only sane desktop environment running ontop of a Unix.

What sucks about Macs and a lot of Apple stuff in general is that much of it is not open source. Apple should open source Cocoa and Quartz.

And by open source I mean ``free software''

Yeah that's a load of bullshit.
Out of all OS's I've experienced Macs have the most baffling GUI.
That row of buttons down the bottom, are they to open new applications or to keep track of already open applications?
If you've got more than one instance of an application open how do you select which one you want? Do you have to click the button over and over till you get the right one, like an idiot?
How can you see what applications are running without using ps?
It's just bizarre.
