Neural network having a hallucination

An AI that is almost as smart as ANDRU has a dream about playing video games. What an amazing time to be alive.

Thanks anon, that sounds very interesting, can't wait to watch it.

Modelling the mind above the level of individual neurons can produce interesting behaviour too:

Interesting, but I wouldn't call that a hallucination... The automata should include some form of semantics into its analysis. This is just mispredictions, garbage results from a stochastic algorithm.

Oh no! YouTube-hater-san has turned anti-semetic.
What a cruel world we live in.

Name: Anonymous 2015-03-31 23:56

looks like some markov chain based stuff.

Indeed. That's it exactly. All that number crunching just to produce a probabilistic model of a movie.

b-but muh singularity, muh eternal life

Go suck a dick Kurzweil

but robots will destroy humanity

If only. Stop talking shit Elon.

The God we make by our own hands will pass judgment on us. We will make the God we deserve.

These niggers are always trying to play up their shit so that Jewgle will throw a few bucks their way.

My favorite example is this:
http://arxiv.org/pdf/1410.5401v1.pdf

On page 10 they describe how they fed their net a single sequence of random bits as both the input and the target. Because it was able to learn to just copy the input they wrote:

This is essentially how a human programmer would perform the same task in a low-level programming language. In terms of data structures, we could say that NTM has learned how to create and iterate through arrays

WTF???? Whatever, slap a fancy name on it, get some idiot journalist to write a shitty article about how robots are taking over[1], and enjoy your comfy research position.

Heh, that is a little amusing.
Just spitting out its input is one of the simplest things it can do other than spitting out nothing

Didn't Google already give them $400M?

If I recall that paper correctly, they were aiming to reproduce the behavior of short-term memory, which has thus-far been lacking in neural networks.

More power to them, I say. They can continue mimicking biology in the most horribly inefficient ways for as long as Google will keep paying their electric bill. A shekel spent on abstract bullshite is a shekel not spent on a new ad platform that runs on tissues and mails samples of your semen back to them for data mining.

Imagine Hollywood 2.0, where movies are made on demand from viewer preferences.

All we need is just a huge database of existing movies.

But Hollywood movies are shit.

Unfortunately, all the rest are too.

This is clever. Good job.

Yes, there's probably just some bug in their system and they think it's "hallucinating". Funny.

Thanks for expounding upon the joke in minutest of details. Please continue your much appreciated work for any future jokes on this board.

What joke? I usually just annoy people with gets and just this one time I try to make serious comment and people think it's a joke :(

BTW, check out my fibs

Yoy're just jelly because I got that awesome combo of gets. Don't be mad. With enough practice, you can do the same. But be warned, it could take years of dedication.

Name: Anonymous 2015-04-02 11:37

You're the jelly here. I work out.

Oh and you can continue getting all your stupid combos, jelly, while I polish my abs and my traps.

Name: Anonymous 2015-04-02 11:45

This is the internet. No one can see your abs, but everyone can see my gets.

Don't change these.
