from the comments section

I have the Unicode font created by Jing Yongshi ๆ™ฏๆฐธๆ™‚ and modified by myself that is used for the Unicode and 10646 code charts (and which I use for the Tangut glyph images in my Tangut blog posts), but unfortunately I do not have any rights to the font, and cannot distribute it. I had hoped to create my own Unicode Tangut font in time for the release of Unicode 9.0 in June, but that seems increasingly unlikely given the current demands on my time.

Jing Yongshi needs to take the GNUpill tbh

This is one of the languages added to unicode: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Osage_language

Osage /หˆoสŠseษชdส’/[2] is a Siouan language spoken by the Osage people of Oklahoma. The last native speaker, Lucille Roubedeaux, died ca. 2005.[3]

In February 2014 a conference was held by the script's creator, Herman Mongrain Lookout, and the staff at the Osage Nation Language Department, along with UCS expert Michael Everson. They settled on a more detailed representation of the sounds in Osage and accounted for and documented changes in the Osage language. The result of the conference was a script reform; this included introduction of lower case, abolition of two ligatures, and the addition of at least one new character. The reformed alphabet is phonemic.[2]

WHO THE FUCK THINKS EMOJI COULD EVEN HAVE SKIN COLOUR!?!

EMOJI DEPICT EMOTIONS. EMOTIONS ARE NOT SKIN COLOUR!!!

The colour of an emoji is the colour of the font it's displayed with. Isn't that such a bloody obvious fact?

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-04 6:39

>>365
But then they would all be niggers. Pretty fucking gross.

The obvious fact is that emoji should be displayed by the program and parsed\sent in some format like :thumbsup" or :asianwhorecrying: or :pileofshit:. If there's enough room for this garbage, then why was CJK unified?

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-04 7:20

>>366
because CJK glyphs are relevant only to people speaking chinese
and emoticons are universal. CJK is also far larger and requires
more technical support than a static emoticon.

You can't kill Unicode, but you can kill everyone who uses Unicode!

RFC 00009
The Trunicode \t64 Specification Draft v0.01a

It's just a text-embeddable 8x8 x 1-bit pixel bitmap, defined by a sequence of 8 8-bit characters row-wise, but since even 8-bit characters have fairly poor accessibility, we'll have to use a sequence of 16 4-bit characters. This isn't all bad as it allows for easier upgrade to \t144, the 12x12 x 1-bit trunicode version, defined by a sequence of 36 4-bit characters.

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-07 2:17

Imagine, now you can type in your own personalized style of handwriting!

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-07 2:25

And with the eventual rise of \t256, you can transfer whole 256-bit encryption keys in a single trunicode-256 character!!

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-07 8:25

>>374
So minutely different stylizations of any given character will have non-equal \t64 values. Cool story, bro.

readding a reddit link: https://r12a.github.io/scripts/tutorial/part2

Korean uses a unique script called hangul. It is unique in that, although it is a syllabic script, the individual phonemes within a syllable are represented by individual shapes. The example shows how the word โ€˜ta-kuk-oโ€™ is composed of 7 jamos, each expressing a single phoneme. The jamos are displayed as part of a two dimensional syllabic character.
It is possible to store hangul text as either jamos or syllabic characters in Unicode, although the latter is more common. Unicode enables both approaches.

so you can write a hangul word in many different ways that dont compare equal as strings? Cool...

New discovery

In some cases you may come across an ideograph that your font or your character set doesnโ€™t support. Unicode provides a way of saying, โ€œI canโ€™t represent it, but it looks like this character.โ€
The approach requires you to add character U+303E immediately followed by a similar looking character. This is called an ideographic variation indicator. This at least gives the reader a chance to guess at the character that is missing.

To a degree, yes. Changing one pixel affects one hex char, so you'd need to change 16 pixels to affect the whole \t64 sequence (ie 10/16 hex char similarity goes to 2^24 * (1 / 2^40) = 1 in 2^16 of randomly being not the same (or at least a similar) char)

Of course, the whole idea is that it is to be read by people, not so much by machines

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-08 7:42

Thinking of switching it to \t96 and \t144, 8x12 and 12x12

still seems a little small to support All types of written script though

10x16 / 16x16 kind of involves either switching from horizontal to vertical rendering (possibly good), or wrapping around / unrolling, and the hex codes are getting a little long.. any less than 16 chars per kB might be pushing it a bit too much

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-08 8:25

using the slash as an arbitrary delimiter and (opt-out // backslash?/ not required) intra-letter space symbol, maybe even a 5-bit extended Hex (q-z to replace 0-9, g-l for a-f, then capitalize?)

can swap the decimal \t spec for a simpler \t Hex/Extended Hex height multiple value, ie \t4 (ordinary hex height 4*4) and \tt (ext hex height 5*3)

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-08 9:33

Then pass proper readable 32-bit bitmaps, not this 1-bit tiny shit.

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-09 0:56

>>389
But nobody really needs to be able to write in 2^32 different colours, and if they do, they can use jpeg/png/etc

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-09 1:07

Maybe it could allow for a single 32 bit foreground colour selection... probably end up using a 24 bit RGB value though

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-09 3:19

32 bits isn't for some solid color, you niggers. It would be to support nice antialiasing, and whatever stylization you choose, if you're going to be transferring for-humans images as your "text".

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-09 4:46

I don't quite understand, stylization is already pretty much fully built-in.. Did you want 32 bit greyscales? I'm not very well versed in anti-aliasing

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-09 4:56

anti-alias my anus

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-10 2:46

There needs to be a vagina emoticon, such that I can finally follow the title and fuck unicode.

Also, fuck the word "emoji" right in its yellow ear.

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-10 2:55

>>392
Antialiasing is just subpixel rendering, and depends greatly on the system it is on, and can't really be precomputed.

I therefore propose an addition of shaders for postprocessing to this encoding.

Name: Anonymous 2016-01-10 9:47

>>396
first sentence
Are alpha values any use?

second
Sounds complicated. Particularly as i read that as encoding the shaders themselves (they'll want to be pretty simple shader parameters or some such)

atm i'd estimate it'll only take a couple of days (once i get started) to knock up an android app that can translate/generate the current codes.. though a person could generate & translate by hand with a bit of grid paper if they were inclined =)
