What do you think about this whole area?

Is software really becoming too complex?
are their answers to this able to solve these problems?

There's a minimal amount of complexity you need to have in order to be standards compliant. Nothing you can do about that.

The whole idea of suckless is to make software that's easy for a new programmer to pickup and fully comprehend within a few hours or less. A few thousands lines at most for a single program, and hopefully far far less.

No more millions of lines of code to add features for non-technical users. No more bloat that doesn't actually contribute to the functioning of the program.
