Can someone explain to me why having women and niggers on an internet community would any better than having white people who actually contribute instead of being diversity icons? Or is there no reason beyond the usual Western "uh, diversity, uhm, we, like, need it"?

Now that Rust has been released and is on its way to becoming the de facto language for all serious development, what is going to happen to all of the programmers who only know other languages? Millions of high paid workers will soon be out of jobs, replaced by those of a more open mind who see the simple beauty of Rust and its ability to tame an overly complex world.
