Are people more interesting when they have an identity? Anonymous messaging boards are the only medium I can think of where most posters are just voices in the dark. You may be able to determine who you are talking to by writing style or context, but there is always some ambiguity. How does this affect how you relate to these person(s). If Cudder or nikita were anonymous, how would that affect your perception of them? If some of the anonymous posters here had a definite handle, would that make them more interesting?
