GITHUB IS A LIE

there is no such thing as social coding

no one has looked at any of my 50 projects on there

no one has bothered to try to understand or hack on them

zero contributions for making it open source, worthless

That happens when you chose obscure languages like haskal that nobody understand for your projects: my javascript and ruby projects have several stars, forks, and pull requests, and I didn't even publish them anywhere (I have no idea how they found them). Also, cute readme files are very important, include images even for tty programs.

I haven't got much contributions and several people said that Symta is too hard for them.

so I've created a repo with something simpler:

Ever thought the reason you don't get many followers could be your obsessive /g/ meme spewing? I mean, you couldn't form a proper phrase and instead went for the implying maymay.

what does that have to do with g

Post your repo, so /prog/ can lavish you with warm praise and encouragement.

You have to advertise them on leddit.

I advertised my app on xda and all I get is people whining about features they want me to add for them.

nikita follows me on github :3

nikita checks my dubs on /prog/ :3

exactly the same thing will happen on github if your repo generates any interest.

You should buy my ebook on CONTRIBUTION OPTIMIZATION!

Charge them for features. Then hire other programmer to do the work, while you are shitposting.

Add an update that causes the app to wipe their phone.

And add a delay so it doesn't happen until one month after the update, and they all do it at the same time. That way they can't warn each other. I'd say hid the malicious payload in obfuscated code, but let's face it, none of them are going to check anyways.
