Many Internet memes have originated on 4chan, usually /b/, as its fast moving, crowd psychology nature enables content to quickly be passed on to large numbers of viewers.

I want to start a discussion about the type of person who spends all their time making money and spending money and is ok with it, basically the majority of the world in colonizing nations. Specifically the dominant segment of that demographic that posts to Reddit: chankids, lulzkids and gamers. The thing that they all have in common is they spend almost all their free time on distractions especially products of the now vast entertainment industry or something that otherwise can increase GDP like shopping or going out*(by which they mean to a store or venue you are only welcome because you paid to be there), or such nonsense.
Back when I lurked and didn't post here, I had a higher opinion of this site and humanity in general. My opinions are sort of summed by this thread I saw elsewhere(which I won't link to because in typical reddit fashion I found the sole moderator of that sub linked me to a /r/coontown thread complaining about the recent harassment policy of Reddit):
What I learned from reddit is that the world is a fucked up place ... because the people in it really want it that way.
Reddit taught me what the average ditsy "here we are now entertain, us"(Kurt Cobain) type imbecile, everyman of the majority thinks for real when they actually try to discuss something serious, and it makes me realize: there is no future. I feel most people tend to assume the rest of humanity is alot like them and in my case this sometimes to lead to a false positive bias, as sometimes I think surely people care about something or care to understand the world and social condition they inhabit. But I realize that social conditions will only get worse and worse, the elites have totally won, they have mentally colonized almost everyone. The masses believe in technological utopias, scientific positivism, that turning every living resource, natural process, human moment and possible human activity into Gross Domestic Product will actually improve the world and their lives.
I feel Reddit gives people who shouldn't be a cocky a reason to be cocky through upvotes, though the real world is not much better as the Bentley drivers and yacht owners have the same undeserved feeling while making the world even a worse place. What do you guys think about Reddit's userbase and their disgusting ways?

Are you shitting me? Tons of memes originate here because literally the only thing you need to do in order to create a meme here is announce a new meme and then post it 3-4 more times. It's shocking how many times this has happened.
