SICP - Need help killing

Hi guys, I want to make a tribal style sacrifice for the evil spirits in my SICP book. The hard part will be finding small mammals in an urban environment that are socially acceptable to kill. I am not a maniac so I don't want said mammals to die painfully. Help please.

1) What mammal can I kill in Florida?
2) What is a painless way I can kill it?
3) Where can I kill it without being seen by too much people?
4) Is it legal to do tribal sacrifices in 2015?
5) What should I chant while killing it?

1) Is a snake a mammal? Or is it crocodiles you have in Florida? Wait, it was the -... Shit, I don't even remember what the Florida coin looks like. Just go with a snake.
2) The best way to kill a snake is to grab it by the tail and crack it like a whip. It will instantly break it's neck.
3) A playground. American children don't play outside, so no one will be there.
4) Probably. They have the Wicker Man festival out in the desert's of... one of those desert states, don't they? I think? And that involves trapping someone in a wooden cage and burning them alive to appease false gods, so I doubt anyone will care about you painlessly killing a snake to please a true one. If they do, just tell them I told you it was okay.
