You can just borrow SICP from your school library if your school is not shit, and you can keep borrowing it indefinitely because I guarantee, nobody else will want to borrow it.

I have convinced one. And I didn't even bother to read it myself. Spamming that "Read SICP." really pays off :D
I finally got around to reading SICP. It was good up until the point where Guido van Rossum kidnaps Sussman and Ableson and the rest of the book is in Python. In case you don't want to bother reading it yourself (spoiler alert), van Rossum is defeated by a flying cdr, but not before he can kill the Sussman by forcibly indenting him into a brick wall.

SICP is a good book but it uses some funny-looking JavaScript.

>>10 All your posts about JavaScript are just lame. I suggest you work on your trolling technique, it's pretty weak so far.
One day, we will all write web applications in sane programming languages that we compile using Emscripten, and Javscript will be relegated to the role of an assembly language.
Then, where will you be?

>>13 We are getting web assembly. There will no longer be any requirement to do client side programming of web sites with Javascript.
