It is sharp, and its presence makes our minds focused.

3 means patterns, direction, life. It is transient.

7 is a tainted number, corrupted.
It is blunt and vague, its presence dulls the mind.

The tainted number is 4 that combines with 3 to produce the neutral 7. The problem in all your examples is that 4 extraneous evil things that neutralize the good and necessary 3 things.

If you accept that 1 and 2 are also holy, then 7 must be holy as well. 7 is one less than two to the power of three. Those that work subject to the power of 2 know it well.

Consider for example a fork. The fork has four evil tines and three holy spaces between the tines. Thus the fork has a potential for being used both for good and for evil.
