Why can't men look at the bright side of allowing less than perfect code into their codebase: that it presents a learning and participation opportunity for other appers?

And don't get me started on the immediate hostility towards diversity in coding styles you can observe by submitting any patch that doesn't rigidly conform to their heteropatriarchal norms. I'm afraid that as long as apping industry remains white- and male-dominated it would continue to stomp out creativity and individuality.
