I have a 150GB partition (on a drive shared with a Vista installation I need to clean up) on which I am to place torrents of shows and music. Large files, write once (and write slowly, in the case of torrents) and read variably. Data integrity and longevity are my favourite.
I already stuck btrfs on top of ext4 and lost 50GB of free space (with only 6GB of data there in the first place). Should I bother trying zfs or just revert to ext4 and hope I notice my disk dying in time?
