Got Fired Because of Comments Style

My comments were in English and I refused to comment in russian (I have strong despise for that inferior language and cyrillic alphabet), so my russian boss has fired me. Did anyone had similar experience, getting bullied because of commenting practices?

Really? I've never heard of such a company. The ubiquitous lack of documentation or legibility in the source code is one of my biggest hassles with software dev. Documentation and proper commenting takes time and money, which takes away from rushing the product out as cheaply and fast as possible. Since pinhead managers who have no desire to listen to technical advice are usually the ones that sign the contract, documentation is never a factor.
