Like almost all "errors" in Linux, it doesn't fail gracefully I'm searching forums for a recipe that matches my system and hoping i don't damage it more,while shitposting here.
Linux is absolute shit. Why should I have to bother with the internals of my OS in order to do basic things. The power of the computer lies in abstracting away the machine from the user, which is why I use Windows. For my server, I run FreeBSD because it just werks.

Good news:The problem was apparently some package/kernel update Bad news:I fixed it by wiping and reinstalling, since i don't have a clue how to repair it from grub shell
