Your build is /g/-class.

Name: Anonymous 2016-05-03 15:15

That's not a build, that's a parts list. Maybe if you actually get around to assembling it and take a picture, we could critique your actual build.

What would you critique? photo skills?
Can you discern what hardware is on a photo by looking at it?

Name: Anonymous 2016-05-03 16:34

it's criminal for AMD to claim their processors are anywhere close to 3.2 Ghz. What they actually mean is that each core is some number of Mhz, combined together all running in parallel you get whatever Ghz speed. but since 99% of applications are single threaded, you'll only really see the benefit of the speed of one core, not all in parallel. You could literally do better buying a $50 Pentium chip. inb4 muh intel remote management. ihbt, Fuck you, go back to /g/.

I'm just making a crack that people aren't actually building computers anymore, just assembling pre-baked parts. If there's no breadboard or soldering iron around, you didn't really build it.

Or wirewrap *shudders*

Don't bully wirewrap, more reliable than breadboards and easier to rework than perfboard/custom PCB

"if hardware looked like software"

Its essentially FPGA from ancient times - crystallized software made into a specific hardware configuration.

The only CPU you can trust are unmodified Vishera FX and below
8350, the recent E parts could be equipped with something extra..

Nice dubs!

You could spend $100 less and use 1/4 the electricity to have a processor benched 40% above the AMD on single core performance, but those god damned JEWS

crystallized software
That's not how state machines are designed, unless you consider flowcharts and state transition tables to be software. Nobody wrote some HDL and synthesized it into TTL chips (well, okay maybe someone did, you never can tell with the loonies around here).

What is verilog?

Benchmarks are often biased to favor Intel,

THOSE GODDAMNED JEWS

Sorry am I supposed to read these 25 articles from 4-6 years ago?

If you were serious you would point out the power envelope

Which I did! by saying that you'd need 1/4 the power! Learn English :-)

Thank you sir. $0.50 has been deposited into your Intel account.

There are people who honestly buy Intel on this board? I thought people here had some amount of dignity. Enjoy funding one of the worlds most evil corporations.

Too bad AMD is slow shit. I buy KikeTM because it's fast.

Believe this, if Monsanto happened to offer GMO corn processors that were 20% faster than Intel's, that shit would be in my kit faster than you could say $59.99

U S A ! U S A ! U S A !

Sure, but remember that you also have to buy the special cooling fluid that will only work with your GMOCPU.

I own a thousand shares of AMD, so please buy them.

I'm waiting for Zen, Polaris, DDR4 and PCIe 4.0x.

With any luck, Zen will actually be half decent and I won't have to upgrade for another 8 years after that.

It seems that Vega will be the high end of AMD's upcoming product line, while Polaris will be mid-range at best. By the way, your link is for Polaris 11, while Polaris 10 is the faster model.
