Why isn't there any sick Javascript tricks on this site? I thought this was a programing site, so it is ironic that this site's programming in shit-tier? Even fucking REDDIT has better features than here......What is up with that?

- JavaShit isn't programming.
- There's absolutely no reason to have JavaShit on a textboard.
- This format is true to world*ch culture, something you know nothing about.
- Since you like reddit so much, go back there.

OP is right. We don't even have a karma system so we can circlejerk each other like fucking plebs.

I think op is trolling

Some programming games would be good

Corewars / Robocode / Ants (? google AI challenge) / Dino's (?? old facebook AI challenge)

I would suggest that /prog/ could invent a game, but it probably couldn't...

We have BBCode tricks instead.

Games have already been invented, though I don't see why that would stop anyone here from doing it again.

Um. wrong? AJAX functionality would improve this place immeasurably.

Implement AJAX functionality with these dubs

Huh? I'd suggest that my dick could invent your buthole, but it probably couldn't.....

Something as simple as being able to expand threads inline would go a long way. This lack of the simplest, most basic functionality is a deal breaker for me in all honesty. I patently refuse to link to this site or even admit that I browse here. A programming discussion site lacking even basic features? Embarrassing to say the least. Nope. Not doing it.

*Triggered* """A programming discussion site lacking even basic features?"""
Textboards are suppose to be simple web1.0 pages.
They can be browsed with text browsers and with disabled javascript/css. Over-complicating them with megabytes of bloatware does not make it good programming.

This site should be more like stack overflow and less like 1998 if it wants to attract and retain unique pageviews. The focus needs to become more towards question and answer and helpful tips and whatnot. You can sometime browse here for an entire week and not see one sensible solution to a programing issue, that's unacceptable.

Expanding threads inline is not a basic feature, it is an anti-feature.

Name: Anonymous 2016-07-30 12:45

attract and retain unique pageviews
That's the last thing we want.

This disgusting board does have javashit and the admin kike refuses to get rid of it.

Make and publish a userscript. All those cancer-tier features started off that way anyway.
