C is turdware

The (((idiots))) on the standards committee are using their clout to limit what hardware designers can do.

Goy, if you want your hardware to run C programs, you better design it this way. Safe hardware is out of the question, goy. Our bosses at the Mossad won't like that!

(((idiots)))
But C is not lisp, why the ((parentheses))?

to limit what hardware designers can do
Huh? What do you mean? C is one of the few languages that are made so they will not limit what hardware companies produce.

Safe hardware is out of the question
I fail to see how C does not allow the use of safe hardware.

An example is RISC-V, designed in the 21st century, but doesn't have hardware overflow checks because C doesn't need them.

Someone needs to make a free PL/I compiler that runs on x86.

C udder?

C is the original Javascript. It only succeeded because it was used to program UNIX, and UNIX succeeded because it was given out for free. Now it has long overstayed its welcome, and continues to hold back the field because it is fetishized as the "true language" for "real programmers", and the UNIX philosophy is worshipped as the pinnacle of engineering design.
The only silver lining is that any sort of DRM/lockdown software written in or calling C code has no chance of being secure.

DRM/lockdown
freedom has no value for most people.
