artificial intelligence is retarded

Correct me if I'm wrong. I played a regicide game against the PC on HARDEST in post-imperial. POPULATION 200, RESOURCES-- low.MAP- large.I picked vikings, the PC chose Aztecs or Mayans.I was destroyed. On the replay I discovered that 2 seconds after the start of the game the PC immediately had 2000 gold,2300 food, 2500 or so wood and about 1300 stone. I had the regular 250 food, 500 wood and no gold. What's up with that? I know these resources were not collected by the PC.So, does the AI assume that that particular civ SHOULD have these resources upon reaching post-imperial? If so, how come my vikings were on food stamps compared to the Aztecs? That's ghetto-- HARDEST should be based no tactics and strategy and not on a crapload of resources ALREADY PROVIDED FOR FREE.Why not give the Aztecs some AK-47s as well and call the level "Mess-up-yo'-grille hard"?

Try it yourself

Driverless Cars Are the Stepford Wives of Automobiles

So, you write about rebellious disruptive ideas? I'll see your chicanery and match you with Strong AI. Along the way, O Hitchhiker Guided to the Universe, be glad that you are not in the shoes of wunderkind Elon Musk. That poor fellow is in deep doo-doo public-relations wise because his self-driving Tesla car had a fatality on or around 8 May 2016 and Elon Musk did not publicly acknowledge the death of the Tesla enthusiast until near the end of June 2016 when the U.S. government was making the crash public whether Tesla Motors wanted to keep it under wraps or not. Then recently another Tesla fatality was reported in the former Soviet Union. The SpaceX rocket blew up on its launching pad, and Elon Musk has had to resort to Twitter to seek help in identifying the cause of the SpaceX explosion. Oh, by the way, fellow disruptor, somebody made a fake Twitter account in my Mentifex name with a stolen photo of me that says "Arthur is a liar" when she wrote it on a bench and made me sit for a photo. Anyway, the times they are a-changing, and you have hit one of the nails on the proverbial head with this article.

I don't see any bug outrage. People accepted that cars kill people a long time ago. It's no big deal if a few get killed in driverless cars.

People accepted that cars kill people a long time ago

People accepted that people's negligence (via cars) kill people a long time ago. People still haven't accepted machines' negligence killing people as acceptable, even if ethically there is no difference.

Lisp would be the most popular language today if it had chosen first\last instead.

I also play Regicide and of course on Hardest difficulty. Guess what, all computer players have huge starting stockpiles of everything and it's impossible to beat them to the next age (when it's not Post-Imperial). Just deal with it.

Also don't play Vikings vs Aztecs except on an all-sea map. Jaguar Warriors have a bonus vs infantry and Vikings are all about infantry, LOL.

It's not about it never catching on, it's about it being a dumb website.

Don't change these.
