An evil wizard paradox

An evil wizard has kidnapped you and now is making you make at least one commit a day to each of at least five github projects per day. At one point he gives you the choice of going free. The only catch is, you 1) have to work on m$ windows for the rest of your life 2) never contribute to open source projects.
The paradox is: Do you accept? Do you choose bodily freedom while using proprietary software, or do you continue being sussman's fucktoy and write foss for the rest of your life?

Why are programmers so obsessed with open source, anyway? You don't hear organic chemists ranting every day about making patent-free drugs, do you?
