And do you use the CLI? How long have you been using it?

git is not purely functional and therefore it's SHIT.

I use the stuff in Visual Studios at work where I maintain old VB enterprise software. I like mercurial for my personal stuff.

I use git and I use the CLI, I've been using it ever since my first github, in 2014 (but I don't use it everyday, of course).

I have used git for about 6 years now. I wouldn't say I truly understand how git works internally, but I am comfortable with it for day-to-day tasks.

I've been using Git since its birth. I use it through the CLI. I figured that if it was good enough for Linux, it's good enough for me.

I use git daily. It is an extremely versatile tool, I've even used it for deployment, and with enough hook scripting you don't even need external CI. Ask me about abusing bare repos. Stash is garbage.

hg is okay, its just slow as balls.

I recently helped everyone at work switch over to git as well, from various centralized VCSs. Even Microsoft has dropped their horrible Team Foundation Server crap and now hosts their own implementation of github inside their SaaS developer tools product. It's all cancer, but at least I can interact with it through git now.

There are probably three people who fully understand the internals. I trust the people behind the software in any case.

Forgot to mention that yes, of course I use the CLI. As far as I'm aware, there is no such thing as a feature complete git GUI tool. Some of them don't even have reset/rebase! They're great for generating pretty branch graphs to show management--not like commits can be a indicator of any real progress, but they like it nonetheless.
